Friends Social Media Manager Displays Her Achievements at Magnet School’s Senior Capstone Event March 28
Nancy Munoz, our Social Media Manager and student senior at East Career & Technical Academy, a valley CCSD magnet school, showcased her effort to develop and grow Friends’ reach on Instagram at the school’s Senior Capstone Celebration. All seniors must participate in the Capstone project, which includes taking on a unique or important cause or program in the local community and beyond, outlining and performing the project’s tasks, producing and presenting a formal report outlining the project and results, and finally sharing the project in a freestanding exhibit for fellow classmates at all levels, teachers, and invited guests to explore on campus. Along with Board Member Cats Sheely (who’s an English teacher at the school as well as Nancy’s mentor), Chris Leavitt, Linda Wiltberger, and Constance Carlson stopped by to see Nancy’s creative display and learn the results of her work on Friends social media effort. In a one-month period, Nancy essentially grew our Instagram presence to 100 followers, roughly a 100% increase of what we had! Bravo, Nancy!
