Board Appoints Greg Konkin Vice President

The Friends Board is pleased to announce that during last Thursday’s monthly meeting, it unanimously voted to appoint Greg Konkin to its ranks as Vice President.

Mr. Konkin, a resident of Las Vegas for over 40 years, is no stranger to the Park. An avid bicyclist, in 2013 he started volunteering in the Park’s Wetlands Watch program. He later took on part-time employment with the Park handling small repair and construction projects. While he’s been a chef for the last 20-plus years, he primarily has been a food and beverage buyer for a handful of Vegas casinos, including his current full-time employment at Treasure Island – TI Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Konkin also serves as President of his community homeowners association (HOA) and is a sitting member on the Whitney Town Advisory Board (TAB). In his role on the Friends Board, he hopes to utilize his strong relationships with the Park’s administrators and staff.
