NFL Pro Community Project at Clark County Wetlands Park a “Green” Success

Friends Board officers Chris Leavitt (President) and Linda Wiltberger (Vice President), and Directors Constance Carlson (Communications) and Suzann Pruitt (Membership) were on hand February 2nd to “meet and greet” NFL Pro Bowl members, local officials, and Park management and recognize the NFL’s recent contribution to make “green” improvements to Park grounds. As part of this, over 30 fifth graders from Ferron Elementary School teamed up with Park volunteers (including Ms. Wiltberger and Ms. Pruitt, who’s pictured below with their her planting buddy) in planting hundreds of native species in sections of the Nature Center grounds. Friends also supplied work gloves and bus funding for this event.
