The Nevada State Parks, The Friends of the Fort, and Daughters of Utah Pioneers hosted “The 170th Anniversary of the Las Vegas Mission” from 8 AM to 12 PM. Friends consummate tablers Constance Carlson and Dallas-Lee Brower were there to share details about the Park and answer guests questions. They also tested out an activity to be used at Discovery Day. It was a HOT morning, but two of the many highlights were the singing of patriotic songs by the Choral Artists of Southern Nevada and fiddling by the Nevada Old Time Fiddlers.
