At its October 17 Meeting (via Zoom), the Board unanimously voted Anne Marie Lardeau in as Secretary.

Ms. Lardeau grew up in France and became a naturalized US citizen in 1978. Soon after moving to Henderson in 2011, she joined the Master Gardener program at the University of Nevada Reno (UNR) in Las Vegas. She has worked extensively with native and drought resistant plants. Anne Marie led the Monarch Butterfly Habitat team in the UNR botanical gardens for the past 10 years and has an extensive knowledge of our native milkweeds. She first discovered our network of washes by volunteering on projects to support the Pittman Wash. She joined the Volunteer Program at Clark County Wetlands Park in 2022. She mostly participates in the Wetlands Hands On (WHO) program and stewardship projects involved with planting native vegetation and cleaning up our beloved Park. Welcome, Anne Marie!

At the meeting, the Board also accepted Linda Wiltberger’s resignation from the Secretary post. Ms. Wiltberger is now focusing solely on her duties as Vice President. Thank you, Linda, for all you do!
