NFL Green Planting: Clark County Wetlands Park

December 7, 2023 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am

With Super Bowl LVIII fast approaching, NFL Green is stepping up efforts to create a lasting “green legacy” in Clark County. December projects include creating a pollinator garden at Aliante Nature Discovery Park, planting trees to provide shade and cooling at Silver Mesa Recreation Center and planting trees and plants at Clark County Wetlands Park Loop Trailhead, adjacent to the Nature Play Corner. In addition, Ms. Chris Leavitt, President, Wetlands Park Friends, will share remarks.

The National Football League (NFL), Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee, Verizon, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, and Las Vegas Raiders have joined forces to implement more than a dozen community greening projects throughout Clark County in the months leading up to Super Bowl.

Location: 6650 Wetlands Park Lane, Las Vegas, NV – Wetlands Loop Trailhead adjoining Nature Play Corner

Description: Thirty-five students from Ferron Elementary will join community volunteers to plant 20 large trees and 38 native plants (total of 58 items for Super Bowl LVIII). The trees and plants will provide pollinator and wildlife habitat, shade, and beauty. This is in partnership with Clark County Wetlands Park and Wetlands Park Friends. This will also connect two projects that were implemented by NFL Green at the Clark County Wetlands and Nature Play Corner during Pro Bowl events.
