Wetlands in the Summer: An Evening Lecture Series

July 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Headshot Jim Boone In Color Image

Wetlands Park Friends and Clark County Wetlands Park are collaborating on a three-part lecture series:

Topic: “Outstanding Hikes in Southern Nevada”

Speaker: Jim Boone, naturalist and educator, and creator of BirdandHike.com

Southern Nevada is a mecca for incredible hikes throughout the seasons, offering rich geologic, biological, and cultural experiences for those who choose to “follow the trail,” or “follow no trail at all.”

An outdoorsman since before birth, Jim attended Humboldt State University (B.S. in Wildlife Management, 1987) and the University of Georgia (M.S. in Forest Resources; Ph.D. in Ecology, 1995). He began building BirdandHike.com, a website that helps people to find peace and solitude in wild places and thereby gain public support for protecting these places for future generations. BirdandHike.com is must read for outdoor enthusiasts at all levels.
